About Aaron Emerson
For more than 20 years, Aaron Emerson has helped people navigate the mortgage process, but he has never viewed his role as simply helping someone obtain a loan. Aaron sees himself as a mortgage coach. His approach is centered on educating clients, reviewing the numbers, exploring available options, and helping them understand the potential short- and long-term considerations of each decision. Rather than telling clients what they should do, Aaron believes in providing the information and strategies they need to make an informed decision based on their individual circumstances and goals. A self-described numbers guy, Aaron approaches every mortgage by looking beyond the interest rate and monthly payment. He considers different loan programs and financing strategies while helping clients evaluate factors such as cash flow, liquidity, equity, interest costs, and their broader financial objectives. Aaron also believes that relationships will always matter more than transactions. He works closely with agents to discuss financing considerations before a client writes an offer. Together, they can review the property's price, the client's goals, available loan programs, rate options, cash requirements, and market conditions to develop a financing approach that aligns with the buyer's circumstances and the transaction. That combination of education, numbers, and strategy has contributed to Aaron's success throughout his career. But for Aaron, production is only one measure of success. The relationships he has built with clients and agents over two decades are what he values most. Aaron's background in teaching has also played a major role in shaping his approach to mortgage lending. He enjoys taking complicated financial concepts and breaking them down into information people can understand and use. He believes an educated client is an empowered client — and that the mortgage option that makes the most sense isn't necessarily determined by one factor alone, but by how the overall financing fits within the client's goals and circumstances. Today, as Vice President of Mortgage Lending with OriginPoint, Aaron is bringing OriginPoint to the St. Louis market. He is excited to combine OriginPoint's technology, products, and resources with the relationship-driven, strategic approach that has defined his career. Whether he's working with a first-time buyer, a repeat client, an investor, or an agent navigating a competitive offer, Aaron's philosophy remains the same: Educate. Run the numbers. Build the strategy. Let the client make the decision. Because at the end of the day, Aaron believes the right mortgage isn't simply about getting into a house. It's about helping clients understand their financing options and choose an approach that fits their goals for the years ahead.
